This is unbelievable....

Wednesday July 2nd

@6:53pm text from me to Michael:

You haven't let me know what time you are getting Brody tomorrow! Can you let me know tonight ?

@ 7:54pm this is the text I received back

You know what, we are ao accommodating to you when it comes to working around your schedule and helping you out so that you don't have to get out at 8am and neither do we and we are even going to drop him off for you and then you send me rude text messages and use !!! All the time and it's not appreciated. We wanted to meet earlier on Sundays so that we can go to lunch after church with family. So to say all that, we will pick him up around 5:00-5:30 We are not trying to start anything with you but it's ridiculous how you act when it comes to compromising for our sake. We could make you meet us tomorrow and after fireworks but we aren't bc it's not a big deal but Sundays after church are for us and God forbid you compromise for us and help us at all. We will be there tomorrow at between 5 and 5:30

@9:40pm this was my response

Okay well first off the text that I was sent was not rude. I asked you to let me know when you would be getting Brody Wednesday evening and waited for you to contact me until almost 7pm the day before and this is bc you always wait to the last minute to let me know anything so I was simply asking for an answer this evening I was not being rude at all.
I am accommodating to your schedule a lot ... In fact I'm pretty sure every time except for this last request and I stated what I thought in the reply to your text last week! When you texted me about changing the pick up/drop off time you never stated that it was for lunch with your family after church! If you had been honest I would have been willing consider it differently but you chose to say it was for Brody's best interest and school and some other things. I never said that I couldn't come at 8 am on the 4th that was brought up by you and Danielle and I agreed that it was best bc I don't like dragging Brody out early if he doesn't have to.  Also, you need to check the facts about compromising on who's behalf before you start calling me ridiculous! I compromise for you ALL the time. The text that YOU sent was rude by saying that you could "make me" meet you (but I would just simply do what it says in our court order) and I don't appreciate it all! I know that I don't speak to you or text you in a rude manor so you saying that is false.  I am in fact tired of being treated so disrespectfully by you. I am willing and have been trying to co-parent our child but for some reason you have been an obstacle to that.
I waited until the day before asking when I would need to have Brody ready and I'm truly surprised by the response that I received!

This has me shaking my head..

I received this text from Michael's Phone On Sunday June 22nd

Your mom called yesterday about you meeting us at 3 instead of 1 which was fine but both boys just went down for naps so could you drop Brody off here? And I wanted to see if we could change the drop off/pick up time to 12-12:15? Or even move it to Friday evening? The 1 meet breaks up the weekend and day and we were just thinking it would be easier on everyone including Brody if he had a whole weekend before school starts on mondays to kinda get into routine at each house. But if that won't work than maybe just moving it to noonish. Just think about it and let us know.

This was my response June 26th

I believe changing the pick up/drop off time to Friday is not in Brody's best interest because that is the end of his school week and I think each household should be able to carry out any accolades or punishments from that week. Also, Brody is used to this schedule that he has been doing for 2 1/2 years. Changing his routine that he has come accustomed to his not to his benefit!  Also, I'm not sure how moving the time on Sunday up an hour really makes a difference on how well he becomes adjusted for that upcoming week! He still has 7 hrs as it stands now before bed on Sundays to settle back into each household. Michael the schedule we have now is what we agreed would work best for Brody and it has been working well thus far.
If for some reason when he goes back to school and he is having troubles there and we think it may be because of his schedule we can revisit the topic at that time! As of right now I don't think changing our custody agreement  benefits Brody in any way.

And this was this was our correspondence after :

Soul Mate?

Josh is not my soul mate. He is my boyfriend,  my best friend, my lover, my favorite person to talk to, my biggest cheerleader, and my family.

But he does not complete me, fill me up, or make my world. He challenges me, encourages me, and talks me down off cliffs, but he isn’t the end-all-be-all of my world. That is a dangerous thing to ask of a relationship because I’m in love with a flawed man. And I am a really flawed woman! The idea that I can complete the hole he has in his heart, this want for something to fill him up, is wrong and destined to be painful. Because that hole isn’t of this world. That want and need we have for someone to know us, really know us, will never be satisfied while we’re here on earth.

And I think that idea, that lie we’ve been sold, damages so many relationships, ends marriages, and leaves countless people unhappy when they’ll truly never be happy.

I love Josh! I think he’s pretty awesome or I wouldn’t be with him. He makes my life more interesting, makes me better, and loves me even when I’m not very lovable (which is a lot of the time). I picked a good one, for sure. And I’m glad he’s in my life.

Damn it!

I've been trying to figure out for most of the day why I have been having anxiety and decided that it was because of a date that was fast approaching. So this evening I began to really wonder why does this one feel different than the last couple and well I came to the conclusion it's because this is the 1st official time "our anniversary date" has passed since our divorce was final.
I count that we were married 8 years even though he left almost 4 months before our 8th anniversary but he was having sex with up until a month before so,  emotionally we were still together for me to count and so I do! Last year we ironically both signed divorce papers on what would have been our 9th anniversary and that was fucked up in itself and just down right hard to do but here it is almost what would have been our 10 year anniversary and it's kicking my ass. I mean he's married and about to have another baby but it doesn't mean I heal just because he's moving on. So, dealing with 1st anniversary after divorce is final and the next week will be 1 year since the divorce was final.  This used to be my favorite time of year! :(

MIGRAINE

I thought it might be interesting to make a blog post describing what my migraines are like for what is “typical” or as close to typical as it gets

More than 29.5 million Americans suffer from migraine, with women being affected three times more often than men. This vascular headache is most commonly experienced between the ages of 15 and 55, and 70% to 80% of sufferers have a family history of migraine. Less than half of all migraine sufferers have received a diagnosis of migraine from their healthcare provider.

Many factors can trigger migraine attacks, such as alteration of sleep-wake cycle; missing or delaying a meal; medications that cause a swelling of the blood vessels; daily or near daily use of medications designed for relieving headache attacks; bright lights, sunlight, fluorescent lights, TV and movie viewing; certain foods; and excessive noise. Stress and/or underlying depression are important trigger factors that can be diagnosed and treated adequately.

Migraine characteristics can include:

Pain typically on one side of the head
Pain has a pulsating or throbbing quality
Moderate to intense pain affecting daily activities
Nausea or vomiting
Sensitivity to light or sound Attacks last four to 72 hours, sometimes longer
Visual disturbances or aura
Exertion such as climbing stairs makes headache worse
Approximately one-fifth of migraine sufferers experience aura, the warning associated with migraine, prior to the headache pain. Visual disturbances such as wavy lines, dots or flashing lights and blind spots begin from twenty minutes to one hour before the actual onset of migraine. Some people will have tingling in their arm or face or difficulty speaking. Aura was once thought to be caused by constriction of small arteries supplying specific areas of the brain. Now we know that aura is due to transient changes in the activity of specific nerve cells.

The pain of migraine occurs when excited brain cells trigger the trigeminal nerve to release chemicals that irritate and cause swelling of blood vessels on the surface of the brain. These swollen blood vessels send pain signals to the brainstem, an area of the brain that processes pain information. The pain of migraine is a referred pain that is typically felt around the eye or temple area. Pain can also occur in the face, sinus, jaw or neck area. Once the attack is full-blown, many people will be sensitive to anything touching their head. Activities such as combing their hair or shaving may be painful or unpleasant.

Diagnosis of migraine headache is made by establishing the history of the migraine-related symptoms and other headache characteristics as well as a family history of similar headaches. By definition, the physical examination of a patient with migraine headache in between the attacks of migraine does not reveal any organic causes for the headaches.

Prodrome Stage

I often can tell you that a migraine is coming. It’s not because I’m “doom and gloom”. It usually begins with dropping things, some mild shaking or a sudden onset of mood/attitude change that is unwarranted I often affectionately call this “the drops” as does my mother (who also suffers from migraines). At this point I take precautions through extra water, some good nutrition snacks and meals and complete avoidance of caffeine, chocolate or my other triggers. (I have a wide variety of triggers which is a whole other post by itself). In my office if I don’t catch my “early signs” my co-workers will often indicate to me that my eyes are “half-open” when they know is a sign of a migraine.

Aura Stage

While I take precaution there are a number of things that follow. First, there is a chance that I will not get the pain or aura symptoms (yay!). Unfortunately more often than not I start to get my aura. For me an aura ranges. Most of the time it starts with a loss of words, confusion or inability to complete sentences or stuttering over words. I start to lose my balance – crashing into walls, catching my balance on the counters or sometimes in severe cases falling down. Finally, I begin to see “flashes” of light before my eyes. They obstruct my vision almost 80% causing me to see basic shapes or colors – but limiting my vision to the point where I cannot drive, read or focus. This is often the most terrifying in combination with the other symptoms makes me feel as if that is what a stroke would feel like.

Headache Stage

Pain wise – I begin to feel a painful burning sensation in my neck and behind my ears. It shoots pain up the back of my neck and usually is accompanied with a throbbing sensation. The pain is sometimes also located above my eyes, through my sinuses, or on the top of my head. Often times it hurts to move, sit, stand or even lay down. The pain begins to affect my entire body, causing me to shake, sweat, and my heart races from the pain level.

Postdrome Stage

After the pain of a migraine subsides, the episode is not entirely over. I usually have a period of 12-24 hours following that leaves me feeling lethargic, slower in my movements and unable to think as clearly as usual. We often refer to this as a migraine “hangover” since the feelings that come with migraines seem to just hang out with us. Most of the time my balance and speech issues start to subside at this point, but I have noticed that if the migraine is exceptionally painful that the symptoms seem to last longer.

After a migraine episode, I often wonder when the next one will happen again. Mild symptoms such as the balance and speech often happen without pain (2-3 times a week). They refer to these as “silent” migraines. While they often cause speculation about me, I have found that being open about my problems and willing to talk has helped other understand what I am going through instead of resorting to secondhand commentary or rumors. Mild pain migraines often happen 1-2 times a week – but the high pain migraines may only happen 5 times a month.

She's a beautiful mess, yeah the kind you love to love!

I am naive to the fact that this would be easy... Just get back out there and love someone else. Oh, how I want to love and to be loved back in such a way that I have never felt. I want to love you like you love me. I do believe that you are right that you probably love me more but that doesn't mean I don't love you the best way that I can. I care for you and I think about you constantly. You are also right that you may think of me more because I do have a lot of other things that I am constantly dealing with or taking care of.  I know what it's like to feel so alone that you think that is all you will feel. I feel that way even now. I want this to work badly but I can see your frustration and anger because I am keeping you just far enough away. Even though I do love you. I know how easily I could fall deeper in love with you and by not allowing that to happen I am protecting myself. I say it's for Brody's sake when yes some of it is! But if I'm being honest it is more for my sake. My heart has been shattered by someone who I thought I would love me forever and yes I realize that you are not him and that you say you want to love me forever. At this point it is all I really want and at the very same time it is the very thing I'm scared of. I like to think I'm strong and I can handle most things but if I'm being honest I'm very fragile. I'm absolutely terrified to have my heart broken again. I don't think I would survive. And you are probably thinking this is bullshit and I should have been upfront with you but you see I haven't loved anyone like this and I didn't realize what all it entailed. How can I give myself to someone and completely trust them when I once said marriage vows that promised certain things and those vows were broken and now just the mere thought of giving myself completely to you without anything to fall back on. Without anything giving us a reason to keep holding on. Is making me crazy. I had know idea that I would be able to feel the feelings I feel for you in such a short time but at the same time be afraid to follow through. I know this is not fair to you and I'm sorry but I know this makes no sense but I love you and don't want you to leave but I'm scared to actually allow you to be here. And when I say here I mean actually allow you to penetrate the depths of my heart. You have a piece but giving you what is left is what is making me scared bc once I do that there is no turning back. At that moment I will never want you to leave and I will forever want to be yours. Is it that easy? Is it just that simple to quit expecting the worst and then losing love of my life or preventing what could happen which would be me alone again trying to gather the pieces of my heart and try to rebuild myself. I'm not that strong. My poor heart can't take it. Oh, but then again what if I push you away and never allow myself to know what true love really is.  What if I am pushing away the one person on this earth that understands my heart more than I do myself. What if I am losing the best thing that will ever happen to me.
